In 1968 Telamco was founded by Phil Telander. Today Tracy Humann, Phil’s daughter, proudly owns the business.
While Phil is missed at Telamco every day his memory lives on and the staff and many customers remember his love and dedication for Telamco. Telamco history formed what we are today. His commitment to quality is still the focus of the company and drives what we do everyday.
“The memory of my Dad is strong within Telamco. We continue to make quality products and offer the best service to honor his vision.” – Tracy Humann, Telamco Owner
Phil started Telamco in a small basement space, created the name Telamco which is an acronym for Telander Laminating Company and manufactured a patented laminated mouthguard for a single client. Telamco quickly became a provider of unique custom laminations and die cut products for the dental industry. In the early 70’s Phil hired his first employees as demands continued to grow.
In 1987 Telamco built their first new building to house the business as they’d outgrown the various rental spaces they were occupying. Over the years their expertise in material converting, laminations and custom assemblies grew the customer base and prepared Telamco to be a highly reliable manufacturer of membrane switches serving industries from medical, food service, consumer electronics and beyond.
In 2001 they again outgrew their space and moved to a new building where they reside today. Telamco continues to grow and maintain their quality standards. The primary manufactured product today remains the environmentally sealed membrane switches. They also maintain the ability to offer products like cable assemblies, soldering, plastic laminations, laser & die-cutting and electrical assemblies.
For almost 50 years Telamco has kept the vision that Phil created of a strong work ethic, excellent service, quality products and a conviction that we are here to help our customers be successful with their customers.
